    venue decoration

Here is the 42nd Edition of our newsletter - our first article is looking at how to decorate your own wedding cake, a great way to and a personal touch and save lots of money.

Every wondered what to do with your wedding dress after your big day? Into the loft, down the charity shop perhaps? How about giving it another outing with a Trash the Dress photo shoot?

If you are hiring a wedding venue that needs a little sprucing up we have a comprehensive guide to decorating your own wedding venue. If you are the groom and have not yet thought about your stag do we have a great idea - go rock climbing!

Our final advice article this week is taking a look at post wedding blues. Why do you get them? How to notice the signs and most important how do you get through them unscathed.

We really do hope the advice here helps out with your wedding planning and if not, please tell us what you want to know about!

Katherine, David & Pauline (Something to say - tell us!)

    Decorate Your Own Wedding Cake

wedding cake Your wedding cake is just as important to you as your dress, or your honeymoon location, probably even more so as your guests will be admiring it, commenting on it and of course more importantly tasting it.

You will want it to look great, taste great and certainly be one to remember.

Whether it is your personal preference or whether you are on a budget, one way to make your cake stand out and be remembered is to decorate it yourself.

    Trash the Dress Photo shoot

An exciting craze is hitting the world, a chance for many brides to wear their beautiful dresses once again and not for them to be put away in a box and not seen or thought about again.

It is called ‘Trash the Dress’ and it involves the bride after her big day, having photographs taken in unusual locations and posing in her bridal gown.

More and more people, on seeing the amazing pictures that these brides are producing are considering this unusual option and after investigating photographers and locations themselves, they are adding some genuinely spectacular shots in addition to their wedding album.

    Decorating Your Wedding Venue

wedding venueWhen planning your wedding, the venue is one of, if not the biggest item to organise along with necessities such as the dress, the church and the photographer etc.

As such, you want your perfect venue to be commented on and remembered just as fondly as the church where you said your vows or even the personalised cake toppers you have for your cake.

For some, the wedding venue can be just where you are holding your wedding reception and party but for others, it could be the place where you will be walking down the aisle, standing in front of your family and friends and exchanging your rings to get married.

    Stag Party Rock Climbing

rock climbing Rock climbing may not be everybody's idea for a stag party but for those adrenalin junkies and ‘give it a go' daredevils, this could be right up your street (or mountain) for those wanting something out of the ordinary for your 'get away from it all' stag weekend.

You and your mates can experience an ultimate sense of achievement with guidance, supervision and encouragement from trained instructors, while at the same time developing skills you may not even know you had.  The instructors will at all times be there to help you overcome your fears, and if needed, build up your confidence to reach heights and goals you never thought possible.

    Avoiding Post Wedding Blues

post wedding blues Your wedding day can be like anything that you plan for and look forward to, it is built up over time and once it is over, at some point you have to come back down to earth and face reality.

The wedding is over and you have no more favours to make, no fittings for your dress, no browsing through bridal magazines for ideas and no butterflies in the tummy.  You have said your vows, been on honeymoon and now it is time to go home and begin the rest of your life.

Having been involved with such a lot of preparations and drama over a period of many months, sometimes years for some people, it can be too easy to feel a little down and flat that the organisation is over and you feel like you have nothing to do.  The last thing you want is to become depressed, not only emotionally but physically.
